Behind the scenes

Singers downstage with the orchestra behind them, blue beams raking across the hall.
The orchestra and singers close to, lit warm red and violet, seen past the heads of the audience.
A starburst of white lights above the ensemble, the whole auditorium washed teal.
A soloist alone downstage in a pale gown, the orchestra ranked behind in blue light.
The stage from the side, red steps leading up to it, the audience in silhouette in the foreground.
Performers with their arms raised at the curtain call, white and blue beams crossing overhead.
The full hall in deep blue, points of light falling like confetti over the stage.
The auditorium end to end, the lit stage small and distant at the far end of it.
